Sanathana Institute Trust

The Sanathana Institute Charitable Trust was founded by K. Ramachandran Nair and K. Girija Devi in memory of their daughter, Archana R. Nair. Dr. Arun R. Nair and Dr. Swetha Chandran K were the trust’s founding members. Although the trust began its activities in 2010, it was officially registered in 2020 in Thiruvananthapuram. Since its inception, the trust has been actively involved in various programs benefiting society. Notably, it provides free rice and vegetables to socially disadvantaged individuals every year. During critical times such as the Covid pandemic and Kerala floods, the trust has played a crucial role in assisting those in need. Their commitment to continued support remains unwavering, objectives of Sanathana institute as follows,

  • Conduct health and medical camps, seminars, and invite doctors to treat poor patients in the community.
  • Operate hospitals and orphanages for the destitute, helpless, elderly, and afflicted.
  • Conduct gymkhana, yoga classes, and sports activities for members’ health and fitness.
  • Conduct study classes and scientific research for employment and agriculture, and establish institutions for research.
  • Establish equality and fraternity among members and work for their economic, cultural, and social development.
  • Establish employment training centres and provide employment opportunities to members who are unemployed in order to facilitate their self-employment.
  • Libraries, reading rooms, discussion classes, and publications should be established for literary development.
  • Provide study classes for those without formal education.
  • Conduct social service activities with unity for the welfare of the people and work for the overall development of the vulnerable people.
  • Foster members’ artistic interests by providing facilities for music, painting, drama, dance, photography, and other fine arts, including Kathakali, Ottanthullal, and storytelling.
  • Work for the establishment and preservation of museums and galleries to exhibit artworks, nature and historical collections, mechanical and philosophical inventions, and products. 
  • Provide necessary assistance to form self-help groups for the members.
